CriticiseAI emerged from our founding team’s personal academic experiences – recognising the challenges of receiving quality and timely feedback as we studied through ongoing teaching strikes. We were inspired to create an AI solution that empowers teachers to deliver feedback faster, more frequently and in greater quantities while preserving a high academic standard.
For educators, we expedite the marking process while fitting into existing workflows. We allow for less time to be spent marking and more time to be spent inspiring the class, especially in under-resourced institutions. For students, our approach creates a more personalised and constructive learning experience for each individual.
In the past year, our team has spoken with countless lecturers across the UK. It became clear that teaching staff workloads are excessive and often difficult to manage. We have spent the past year refining our most consistent AI marking system through direct consultation with top universities and lecturers across the UK and Canada. We have begun to empirically proven our tool’s consistent academic performance through two University of Stirling research projects. CriticiseAI’s feedback tool matched or exceeded the perceived quality of a university lecturer’s feedback in all five categories.
